Description What You'll Do

• Conduct both routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests across various disciplinessuch as chemistry, hematology, and immunologyall while following strict protocols.
• Evaluate results for accuracy, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Assist in the process of specimen collection and prepare samples for subsequent testing when needed.
• Thoroughly document all procedures, mentor new staff or students, and help maintain high standards within the lab.
• Ensure a clean, safe laboratory environment while complying with all regulatory and accreditation guidelines.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within the first year of employment.
• Maintain current certification throughout your employment.
