Responsibilities :
As a Front Desk Agent, you will represent the Augustine Institute and be the face of the Institution for arriving guests. While maintaining the Augustine Institute’s mission values, you will be providing guests with a warm welcome to their temporary home away from home as well as a proper send off before they leave. As the first face that guests will see when arriving and departing at the Institute, it is our chance to add to their experience by assisting them in any way that we can.
Shifts/Hours :
- Morning Weekends
- Saturday and Sunday: 7am – 3pm
- Weekday Evening
- One Floating Day: 3pm – 11pm
- Potential Extra weekday evening coverage for smaller hours depending on occupancy.
Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Navigate OPERA Cloud and become familiar with the system
- Check-in guest arrivals
- Organize key packets for arrivals
- Check-out guest departures
- Close bills for departing guests
- Complete Front Desk checklist for corresponding shift
- Assist in projects assigned to you by your supervisor
- Answer questions guests may have (concierge)
- Assist any visitors that arrive at the front desk
- Store luggage (when needed)
- Gift Shop retail tracking
- Communicate with security guard for overnight coverage at the desk

- Present yourself in a manner that respectfully represents the Augustine institute
- Dress code of Business Casual
- Remain composed in moments of high stress
- Be fully attentive to anything happening in the lobby and around the front desk
- Uphold a positive attitude and a perspective of hospitality
- Flexibility to assist other departments as needed
- Follow guidelines listed in the SOP binder
- Respect all guests regardless of impression you receive
Schedule:
- Schedule Organization
- Sunday – Sunday Schedule posting
- Request-offs must be made for the following week by Wednesday at 2pm the week prior
- Schedules vary depending on occupancy.
- Staffing depends on arrivals, departures, and in-house guests.
- Number of days worked per week may vary depending on need.
