Marketing Events ManagerThe Marketing Events Manager will help our team deliver world-class events for our customers and prospects. Whether virtual or in-person, this role will be responsible for generating new leads, nurturing existing customer relationships, and driving engaging conversations that amplify Zencity's brand and our mission to power the work of government with community voices.How you'll make an impact:Own and optimize a robust third-party events calendar of 20+ annual events across the US and UK, ensuring every activation is aligned with pipeline goals and lead generation targetsDrive lead generation and customer retention by identifying and executing high-impact first-party event opportunities, including executive dinners, single-day events, and workshops, that move prospects through the funnelLead and grow "Zencity Impact," our virtual events and community initiative, delivering 2-3 quarterly events designed to engage prospects, nurture existing customers, and strengthen Zencity's market presence.Manage and maximize annual partner relationships, including media organizations and local government associations, ensuring full utilization of partnership contracts and driving measurable value from every agreementIdentify and evaluate strategic event participation opportunities to expand market segments, with a focus on maximizing ROI and sales impactCoordinate all staffing, supplies, and logistics to ensure seamless event execution that reflects Zencity's brand and maximizes attendee engagementLead pre-event briefings with event staff to align on sales objectives, key talking points, logistics, and post-event follow-up activities to ensure no lead is left behindManage vendors, inventory, supplies, and shipments with efficiency and foresight to support consistent, high-quality event deliveryDevelop and share segment-specific best practices and performance insights to continuously improve event outcomes and conversion ratesOwn and manage the annual events budget, ensuring spend is strategically allocated to maximize lead generation and business impactAbout you:Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills - ready to work a conference booth or emcee a webinarLogistics and detail-focused - passionate about making our events effective and running smoothly!Teamwork & Stakeholder Management: A collaborative team player who can effectively work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to drive results, manage expectations, and keep events on track.Strategically minded - understanding the big picture and ready to promote our vision no matter the occasionSelf-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentBudget-conscious mentality - keeping your eye on worthwhile expenditures, while spending like it's your own moneyExcellent project management skills with an ability to prioritize projects simultaneouslyPhenomenal work ethic and flexibility- events don't always follow a 9-5 scheduleLives and breathes collaboration - together we make these events fantasticAdaptable, resilient, and persistentRequirements:3+ years experience in Event Management or Field MarketingOrganized and efficient, able to develop and execute a clear planAble to communicate ideas and campaigns to both external and internal stakeholdersTeam player with the ability to be a self-starterFlexibility to adjust to the dynamic nature of a startupAbility to travel about 10%Knowledge of CRM systems such as HubSpot and SalesforceKnowledge of project management systems such as Monday.com, Asana, TrelloPreference for candidates who can commute to our office spaces in DUMBO, Brooklyn, NY.Why Join Zencity?Mentorship & Growth: Work directly with experienced marketing leadership in a role designed for professional development.Impact: Your work directly helps hundreds of cities improve the lives of millions of residents.A Category-Defining Mission: Help us shape the future of how cities and residents communicate.Current Budget: $90 - $120k
