The company's brand portfolio includes the leading brands Domino®, C&H®, Redpath®, Tate & Lyle®, Lyle's® and Sidul®.The Shipping Clerk carries out all designated clerical assignments issued by the operations staff in the Shipping Department. He/she also works with the Customer Service division as well as the Traffic Coordinator to insure the best possible service to our carriers and customers. This position will coordinate transportation for truck shipments, NF shipments and with customer inquiries. Will communicate with trucking companies and buyers. This position is a back up for truck scheduling.Key Responsibilities:Sign up all packaging drivers- Make sure they are in the correct assigned loading doorRecord their name and drivers license number on the B/LReview the order for accuracy of product and palletsAssign the scale pass to the order and enter into the truck scale system. Also may include manual entry into SAPUpon completion of the load, check the order against the checkers loading record for accuracy, make changes if needed and clear the order with the foremanGive finished paperwork to the driver, enter the order into the scale system and release the driver to weigh outIf the scale system is down, all info is manually entered into SAP for order processingPlace new printed orders in file drawer by date and carrierPick and post satellite orders into SAPNon-available product needs to be cleared for change by the Customer Service Manager and changes to orders are performed and re-filedCheck pick up delivery numbers and scheduled loading times with the gate house guards; abort any unused scale pass numbers for the guardsCheck pick up delivery numbers and scheduled appointment times for the guardsMake up drivers labels for gatehouse issuing useMake up various labels and placards for customer specification use on package ordersComprise a daily report of trucks shipped, truck no-shows, product cuts, inbound loadsMake up Certificates of Analysis (CoA) based on lab results when automated system is downGet CoA's from the lab for orders that require them at the Satellite facilityPost inbound shipments into SAP and file accordinglyPost shipments from the satellite facility to the customerSign for inbound Empty Package shipmentsSign for and receive inbound Empty Pallets (Chep and Whitewood GMA)Tally all daily truck movements by shift and print a shift reportCreate a Hold truck list when product is not available and the truck is on site as directed by the shipping shift supervisorGeneral filing of daily to weekly to monthly to quarterly orders and reportsAssist with customer inquiriesEssential Capabilities (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)Core Competencies:Analytical Thinking & Decision MakingBusiness & Financial AcumenEffective CommunicationCustomer OrientationEstablishes TrustProblem-SolvingResults Orientation & AccountabilityTeamwork & CollaborationAdaptability/FlexibilityContinuous ImprovementSelf-DevelopmentJob requirements:High School diploma or GEDExcellent communication skillsSAP literateProficiency in Microsoft Word, ExcelAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously3 years shipping office environment (preferred)LOCATION OF ROLE: Baltimore, MDSALARY PAY RANGE: $37,000 - $65,000The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
