Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year preferred License: Must have an active nursing license Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: Previous charge experience Patient ratio experience of 3 to 4 Charting system experience with Cerner Experience in maternal child health Willingness to float within the facility Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum role. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care for mothers and newborns after delivery. This position requires the ability to manage a patient ratio of 3 to 4 patients. Candidates should have experience with Cerner or a similar charting system. Travelers are welcomed, and first-time travelers will be considered. Every other weekend work is expected, along with floating to other units as needed within the scope of practice. Candidates must be comfortable administering medications such as antihypertensives and opioids. The role involves activities such as post-epidural management, newborn assessments, and discharge teaching to parents. Candidates will be responsible for infant care, including cord care, thermoregulation, and education on breastfeeding and car seat safety. Willingness to work two out of three major holidays is required. Candidates should be prepared to provide all scheduling requests upon submission.
