Registered Nurse (RN) Mom/Baby Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, Texas 75093 Work hours: PRN, 7:00pm - 7:00am; 6 shifts per 6 week schedule required Mother/Baby Department highlights: 36 bed Mother/Baby Unit Active Unit-Based Council Opportunities for personal growth through NCAP Here's What You Need Diploma in Nursing or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required BSN preferred One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program. Two years of Mother/Baby experience preferred BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required and CPI - Crisis Intervention Training within 90 days and maintained annually required and RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required What You Will Do Assesses the patient Plans the care of the patient Intervenes as appropriate Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
