This entry-level role offers a unique opportunity to develop clinical skills while providing compassionate care to patients of various ages and developmental stages.

Under the guidance of a licensed nurse, you will assist in patient treatment and care, performing a variety of essential duties that support daily living activities and clinical interventions.

• Provide direct patient care tailored to individual needs, including assistance with hygiene such as bathing, hair care, oral hygiene, and grooming.
• Deliver skin care and take precautions to prevent skin breakdown.
• Assist with physical activities including repositioning, ambulation, range of motion exercises, and transfer techniques.
• Support nutritional needs by preparing patients for meals, assisting with feeding, monitoring intake, and ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
• Collect specimens, perform vital signs, and document intake and output accurately.
• Perform sit baths, postmortem care, and apply therapeutic devices like TED hose, K-pads, ice packs, and binders.
• Lead and encourage participation in performance improvement initiatives and teamwork.
• Carry out technical procedures and nursing interventions within credentialing limits.
• Maintain close communication with the primary nurse and promptly report any changes in patient condition.
• Manage oxygen therapy, urinary catheter insertion/removal, intravenous therapy discontinuation, nasopharyngeal suctioning, dressing changes, wound care, and skin management.
• Conduct patient assessments and collaborate with the primary nurse for care planning.
• Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, and manage nasogastric tube insertion and maintenance.
• Educate patients and families in coordination with the primary nurse.
• Document all patient care activities thoroughly and accurately in medical records and designated forms.

Currently enrolled in a nursing program or completed a nursing program without meeting licensing requirements.

This is an entry-level position; no prior experience is required.

This role requires considerable mental focus and frequent physical activity including heavy lifting, turning, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.

Exposure to infectious diseases, radiation, anti-neoplastic agents, and occasionally hostile individuals. Frequent contact with communicable diseases through blood and body fluids. Minimal physical discomfort expected.
