Production Group Leader

Overview Oversees and coordinates the daily activities of a production team to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and the achievement of production targets. Job Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of production operators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to meet deadlines and customer demands. Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Monitor production output, scrap rates, and efficiency metrics, and report on performance. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and reduce costs. Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, quality, and maintenance, to resolve production challenges. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Conduct team meetings to communicate production goals, provide updates, and address concerns. Foster a positive and productive work environment. Job Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred. 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Strong understanding of production processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality control systems. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
