Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Wed 05:30 AM - 03:30 PM Fri 05:30 AM - 02:30 PM Sun 05:30 AM - 03:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site management and/or local authorities when appropriate. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help deter unwanted activity. Monitor access to restricted or sensitive areas, verify credentials when required, and support loss prevention efforts by observing for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential theft-related activity. Assist with emergency situations such as medical events, alarms, evacuations, and/or disorderly conduct while following post orders and communicating clearly with management, employees, and responding agencies. Minimum Requirements: Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas only. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
