About the Position

06273S – If you're a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant looking for work at a Critical Access Hospital in rural Montana, this assignment may be a great fit! This is a solo-provider position, primarily covering the ER department with some inpatient coverage as well, offering a broad-scope of practice and significant clinical autonomy. You'll be working alongside supportive staff while serving a rural community in need. Don't let this Montana opportunity pass you by!

Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract

Date Range: 9/21/26 to 9/25/26 and 10/1/26 to 10/11/26

Job Specialties: Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist

Schedule:

• Night Shifts: 7:00pm to 7:00am
• 7 on/7 off

Compensation: $107.00 hourly rate (make $8,900.00+ per week!)

Responsibilities:

• Patient Volume, ER: Averages 4-5 patients per 12-hour period
• Staffing Mix: ER RN on shift
• On Call for ER the entire time and some inpatient rounding

Position Requirements:

• Active Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license with the State of Montana
• ICEC, if applicable
• Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS
• Active DEA registration
• Excellent ER & Hospitalist skills required
• Minimum 2 years solo full-spectrum emergency experience
• Direct experience with medevac and patient care stabilization including intubations, chest tubes, and complicated airways; must have strong suturing skills
• Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
