Job Title: Registered Nurse — Medical / Surgical Location: Des Moines, Iowa 50314 — On-site Pay: $57.66 per hour Type: Contract | On-site Department: Resource Pool Shift: 07:00 - 19:30, Monday to Friday, 4 Days/10 Hours, 36 Hours per week Note: Non-local candidates only. Candidate must reside at least 60 miles from the facility. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse for a contract position in Des Moines, Iowa. The Med/Surg RN will provide direct patient care to adult patients across a range of medical and post-surgical conditions, working within a resource pool model that may require flexibility across multiple units. Day shift availability and non-local status required. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the care team Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate safe patient transitions Requirements Active, unencumbered RN license in Iowa or compact state eligibility Minimum 1 year of medical/surgical nursing experience required BLS certification required; ACLS preferred Experience with electronic health records required Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility — local candidates will not be considered #J-18808-Ljbffr The Employee Connect
