Leading company in the chemicals industry, is seeking a Wastewater Operator to join their team. The successful candidate will work alongside a team of professionals collaborating to mix creative thinking with combined experiences in order to provide the best possible outcome for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
• Schedule, perform and guide third party entities in performing preventative maintenance activities.
• Monitor and adjust, when necessary, plant processes as required to ensure successful, safe and efficient operation of the system.
• Collect wastewater process samples as well as final discharge samples and subsequently analyze the data to optimize plant performance.
• Manage the preparation of various wastewater treatment reports that are used daily to optimize the performance of the system as well as inform our team and the customer of the status of the treatment system.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of plant operations.
• Ensure plant operations are done in a manner that they are compliant with all relevant regulations and permits.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Mechanically Inclined and 1+ year maintenance experience
• Ability to read, interpret and understand manuals and process drawings.
• Solid understanding of wastewater treatment processes and equipment as obtained through the wastewater operator training program.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.

Schedule:

• 8 hour second shift Tuesday through Friday (4:00pm to 12:00am)—8 hour first shift Saturday (6:00am to 2:00pm)-
• Overtime Available
