As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Unit in Polkton, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public sector personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report security-related concerns, policy violations, and suspicious behavior according to site procedures.
• Support controlled movement, maintain awareness of surroundings during patrol activities, and assist with security-related responses involving alarms, emergencies, and/or requests for assistance.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
