Schedule: Full-time. Flexible start/end within business hours of 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST
Contract Dates: October 19, 2026 – June 30, 2027

About the Opportunity

SBS Creatix is hiring an Operations Specialist to support the pricing strategy function at our client, a Fortune 500 financial services firm headquartered in the St. Louis area.

This person will sit inside the firm's pricing strategy group and own the day-to-day review and processing of pricing exception requests coming in from branch teams across the country. It's a high-volume, high-accuracy role — you'll be validating eligibility, researching account and household structures, and making judgment calls on requests that don't always fit neatly into a documented process. The work has real financial impact on both clients and the firm, so precision matters.

You'll work alongside one Support Specialist and four Pricing Specialists, reporting to the department leader for Firm Strategy. There's a meaningful backlog to work through, so the expectation is that you'll learn the process quickly and jump in.

One thing to know up front: this is a defined-length engagement with no path to conversion. The firm is building a digital solution to automate the pricing exception process, which is exactly why the end date is set. If you're looking for a contract-to-hire, this isn't it — but if you want a focused, well-defined engagement with a strong team at a recognized firm, it's a good one.

What You'll Be Doing

• Review, research, and process pricing exception requests submitted by branch teams
• Validate the information branches submit to confirm requests meet established pricing guidelines and eligibility requirements — including household and family pricing structures
• Prioritize and work through a high-volume case queue, triaging what needs attention first
• Partner with branch teams and internal stakeholders to clarify requests, gather missing documentation, and drive requests to resolution
• Document actions, decisions, and supporting detail in line with established controls, policies, and procedures
• Analyze data and business requirements to support pricing initiatives and operational decisions
• Field inquiries about pricing processes, requirements, and request status
• Flag opportunities to improve the efficiency, quality, and scalability of pricing workflows
• Participate in team meetings and working sessions supporting pricing initiatives
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy, given the financial impact pricing decisions carry

A Typical Day

• Pull and prioritize pricing exception cases from Salesforce and shared team queues
• Research account information and validate eligibility tied to family and household pricing structures
• Reach out to branch teams to clarify requests and collect what's missing
• Juggle multiple open cases at once while chipping away at the backlog
• Loop in pricing strategists and business partners on the complex ones
• Document decisions and outcomes per established procedure
• Contribute to team conversations on process improvement and workload management

What You Need

• Associate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Salesforce experience
• Case management or investigation experience
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills — you'll be talking with associates across departments, including senior leaders
• Proven ability to prioritize and navigate a high-volume environment
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Comfort with math and numbers — you'll be working with client fee calculations (tools are provided)
• Ability to learn complex processes quickly and apply sound judgment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office — Outlook, Excel, Teams, and related collaboration tools
• Experience with shared inboxes, workflow tools, or automated business processes
• Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and a collaborative working style

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree
• FINRA licenses — SIE, Series 7 Top Off, and/or Series 66
• Financial services industry experience
• Background supporting operations, compliance, legal, or service teams with complex review and approval processes
• Knowledge of pricing programs, client fee structures, or financial account administration
• Experience using Copilot or similar productivity tools
