The State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton and the School of Business and Liberal Arts invite qualified applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship & Marketing position in the Business Department, beginning September 1, 2026.
This position emphasizes integrating marketing strategy and entrepreneurial thinking, preparing students to develop, launch, and grow ventures through data-informed decision-making, digital marketing tools, and customer-centered innovation. The role supports growing student demand in applied marketing, brand development, and new venture creation, aligned with regional workforce needs and global business trends.

Responsibilities
- Teaching (4/4 course load), course development, student advisement, scholarly activity, assisting in program and curriculum development, assessment, and institutional service.
- Delivering and developing courses that connect marketing strategy with entrepreneurial practice, including opportunities for students to develop business concepts, branding strategies, and go-to-market plans.
- Advising students in Business Department majors, supporting both career readiness and entrepreneurial pathways.
- Contributing to the growth of marketing and entrepreneurship programming, including experiential learning, simulations (e.g., Simternship), and community-based projects.
- Actively participating in faculty governance and university service.
- Engaging with local businesses, startups, and community partners to create applied learning experiences such as internships, consulting projects, and venture development opportunities.

Required:
- Doctorate in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, or a closely related field (Doctorate must be completed by June 2026).
- Ability and willingness to develop and deliver entrepreneurship and marketing courses across face-to-face, online, and hybrid (flex) modalities.
- College-level teaching experience in face-to-face, online, and hybrid (flex) delivery.
- Experience teaching marketing courses with applied or entrepreneurial components (e.g., digital marketing for startups, brand development, marketing analytics, customer discovery).
- Experience teaching Entrepreneurship courses, particularly those focused on new venture creation, innovation, or small business development.
- Experience in curriculum design and development that bridges marketing strategy with entrepreneurial application.
- Professional or applied experience in marketing, digital media, startup environments, or entrepreneurial ventures.
- Experience mentoring students in applied projects, competitions, or venture development initiatives.
