Job Description

Job Title: Rebate Analyst

Location: 100% Remote

Pay Range: $28-30/hour

Duration: 3+ Month Contract

Role Overview:

Responsible for analyzing and validating customer rebate deductions by comparing customer claims against rebate agreements, contractual terms, and original pricing. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to research discrepancies, reconcile large data sets, and determine the appropriate resolution for inaccurate deductions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and validate customer deductions related to rebates
• Compare customer claims against rebate agreements, contractual terms, approved rebate structures, and original pricing
• Reconcile rebate rates, pricing, quantities, and other supporting data to determine the correct deduction amount
• Research and resolve discrepancies between customer claims and expected rebate amounts
• Identify deductions that do not align with established agreements or pricing and determine appropriate next steps
• Collaborate with Pricing, Sales, Finance, and Rebate teams to clarify agreements and resolve discrepancies
• Process or coordinate adjustments once deductions have been validated
• Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails supporting rebate calculations and conclusions
• Analyze recurring discrepancies and trends that may indicate issues with pricing, rebate agreements, or customer claims
• Utilize Excel, working with large data sets and established templates to analyze and reconcile information

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Experience reviewing and reconciling financial, pricing, rebate, or customer deduction data
• Strong Excel skills, including experience working with large data sets and pre-established templates
• Strong research, reconciliation, and discrepancy-resolution skills
