Position Requirements Current Minnesota K-12 Principal License, or ability to obtain by start date. Master's degree required; Specialist or Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership or related field preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience required. Minimum of three (3) years of successful educational leadership experience preferred. Demonstrated experience supporting student achievement, staff development, and school improvement efforts. Experience leading or supporting diverse learners and inclusive educational practices preferred. Qualifications Proven ability to lead a positive, student-centered school culture focused on belonging, engagement, and high expectations. Strong instructional leadership skills, including knowledge of curriculum, assessment, data analysis, and continuous improvement practices. Demonstrated ability to build trust and strong relationships with students, staff, families, and community members. Experience supervising, coaching, developing, and evaluating staff to improve performance and support growth. Skilled communicator with the ability to navigate complex situations with professionalism, empathy, and clarity. Ability to lead collaborative teams, facilitate problem-solving, and manage change effectively. Commitment to equity, inclusion, and ensuring all students have access to high-quality learning opportunities. Strong organizational and operational leadership skills, including scheduling, budgeting, safety, and resource management. Experience using technology and data systems to improve communication, efficiency, and decision-making. Demonstrated ability to think strategically while managing daily school operations effectively.
