Job Details Job Location: Glen Allen, VA 23059 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: Not Specified Salary Range: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Any Job Category: Management Position Overview Assistant General Manager to the General Manager, responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day hotel operations, maintaining revenue, cost, and quality standards, and supporting the overall management of the hotel. Responsibilities Supervise assigned departments to achieve projected revenue levels and guest satisfaction. Participate in short‑term and long‑term financial and operational plans for the hotel. Stay current on business trends and local activities. Meet assigned departmental budgets and monitor financial statements. Maintain an appropriate level of community involvement. Ensure proper handling of guest complaints. Assist in developing new programs that increase guest satisfaction and operational excellence. Know and comply with all company policies and procedures related to the position. Promote cross‑selling of other Shamin Hotels by hotel staff. Teach, mentor, and direct hotel staff. Maintain a high level of visibility and leadership within the hotel and community. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and/or extensive experience in a hotel or related field. 1‑2 years of hotel experience preferred. Strong financial knowledge and ability to work with financial information and data. Basic mathematical skills, reading, writing, and computer skills. Basic familiarity with brand systems.
