Internal Communication Specialist

Axiom Space, a human space exploration company, is seeking an Internal Communication Specialist to support its mission and people.

POSITION SUMMARY

In this role, you will craft compelling messages, manage internal channels, and partner with leaders across the organization to ensure employees are informed, engaged, and aligned.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Write, edit, and publish internal communications, including newsletters, announcements, leadership messages, and intranet content. Manage and maintain internal communication platforms (intranet, email tools, etc.) to ensure accuracy and consistency. Partner with People & Culture, leadership, and cross-functionally teams to support change management, culture initiatives, and company-wide events. Support internal events such as all-hands meetings, town halls, and employee engagement programs through creative communication. Track and analyze communication metrics (open rates, engagement, survey feedback) to continually improve reach and effectiveness. Help maintain a consistent voice and brand standard across all internal communication materials. Develop knowledge of trends, best practices, and new technologies in internal communications and employee experience; apply this knowledge to effectively communicate. Perform additional job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education & Experience 2+ years of experience in corporate internal communication. Experience with internal communication tools. 2+ years of experience in employee and brand experience (preferred). Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience, or equivalent education and experience. Track record of making things happen in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. Uses good judgement to problem-solve proactively, positively impacting hard challenges. Demonstrated organization skills to meet tight deadlines with high-quality results. Core Skills Ability to distill lots of information into easy-to-digest communication. High EQ and ability to collaborate within teams and cross-functionally. Leads by example, ensuring culture is built and maintained, through gaining trust. Results-oriented personality, with a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving. 1+ years of experience managing internal communication platforms and intranet. Experience using Adobe Illustrator and/or Adobe Premier Pro. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time-management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Generally an office environment, but may involve indoor or outdoor work depending on tasks. Requirements Must complete a U.S. government background investigation. Management may select for any level for which the position is advertised. Proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency required. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones. Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time).
