Warehouse Material Handler

Job Description

Description:

This individual will convert raw materials into press/finishing ready material for the production department.

This is a 1st shift position and will work 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break.

Must learn properties and characteristics of material used by production to visually differentiate the difference of material families.
Operates assigned machinery to convert raw material into production ready material in roll or sheet form.
Understands priority of material request to process material pick tickets in order of importance to the production floor
Cleans work area on a daily basis moves empty containers and pallets to storage area to keep area free from clutter and trash.

Requirements:

Good memorization and mathematical skills
Good communication skills
Good decision making skills
Good problem solving skill

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
Able to handle stress, pressure and deadlines
Attends work regularly to ensure good production flow
Ability to follow company policies and procedures while performing job duties
Job involves standing or walking most of the shift
Exposure to noise, heat and fumes
