Senior Plumbing Design TechnicianOur client is seeking an experienced Senior Plumbing Design Technician to join their growing engineering and design team in Tempe, Arizona. This role is ideal for a highly skilled designer with strong industrial plumbing experience who can lead design efforts, collaborate across disciplines, and deliver high-quality construction documentation for complex facilities.This position offers a contract-to-hire pathway with long-term growth potential supporting advanced industrial and manufacturing projects.Position OverviewThe Senior Plumbing Design Technician will lead the design, layout, and routing of industrial plumbing systems from early planning through detailed design. This individual will work closely with engineers, clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to develop accurate and code-compliant design packages.Key ResponsibilitiesLead design, layout, and routing of industrial plumbing systemsDevelop P&IDs, plans, sections, and detailed construction drawingsPerform design tasks across planning, conceptual, and detailed design phasesCoordinate directly with clients, contractors, and internal engineering disciplinesApply expert knowledge of plumbing systems and applicable codes to ensure design quality and accuracyProduce complete and coordinated design documentation with minimal supervisionSupport project teams in resolving design challenges and technical issuesRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED8+ years of AutoCAD design experience4+ years of Revit design experience5+ years of industrial plumbing design experience, including system layout and routingStrong working knowledge of U.S. Plumbing Codes, specifically:International Plumbing Code (IPC)Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC)Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting complex industrial environments such as:Semiconductor manufacturing facilitiesCleanroomsData centersAdvanced manufacturing facilitiesTechnical or Associate's degree in a related disciplineAbility to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teamsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced problem-solving, planning, and analytical abilitiesDemonstrated ability to independently execute design packages with minimal supervisionWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
