Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our team on the 1st shift. The working hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed. This role involves setting up and operating CNC milling machines (5-axis) to produce parts according to technical drawings.

$30 - $38/hr

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform changeovers on CNC milling machines (5-axis).
• Operate machines to produce parts per drawings, making minor program edits, offsets, and tooling adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust as needed to ensure consistent output.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Inspect completed parts using measuring tools to verify accuracy.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 5+ years of CNC machining experience (milling).
• Proven ability to complete setups and changeovers independently.
• Ability to make minor edits at the machine (offsets, tooling adjustments).
• Strong blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T basics.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with full machine setup (tooling, fixturing, first articles).
• Exposure to 3-axis and 5-axis environments.
• Experience running tight-tolerance parts.
• Experience with additional materials (aluminum, stainless, alloys, etc.).
• Knowledge of using measuring tools such as calipers.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing machine shop environment, where you will work with advanced CNC equipment. Adherence to safety and cleanliness standards is essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tustin, CA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
