Roles & Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and treat patients to restore function and mobility
- Develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans
- Document services accurately and in a timely manner
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Techs per practice acts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and families for comprehensive care
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT, or BSPT)
- Active Virginia Physical Therapy license or ability to obtain one before start
- Strong communication, documentation, and clinical skills
- Flexibility to adapt to varying facilities, schedules, and patient needs
Education
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT/MSPT/BSPT)
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques
- Expertise in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Skilled in accurate and timely documentation
- Ability to supervise and direct PTAs and Rehab Techs
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic healthcare environment
