About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join its legal team. The successful candidate will be a key player in providing strategic legal support for the company's rapid growth and innovation, with a focus on commercial agreements, contract negotiation, risk management, and project financing. The role involves offering comprehensive legal counsel on operations, regulatory matters, and corporate transactions, as well as ensuring compliance with all relevant laws. The Associate General Counsel will also be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts and agreements, and must have a strong background in supporting corporate governance. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, active bar membership, and at least 5 years' of experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, particularly in the context of heavy industry, energy, natural resources, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive businesses. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing multiple complex legal projects and be adept at advising senior leadership on risk mitigation and strategic legal planning. While not mandatory, experience in an early-stage, fast-growing company and a background that includes both BigLaw and in-house experience are considered advantageous. The role requires a professional who can work effectively in a hybrid environment and is committed to the values of the company, including sustainability.
