Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Location: Medford, MA 02155 and surrounding areas
Pay: $37.17 per hour
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Schedule: Work schedules will be created in 6-week blocks following the 3 weeks of training/orientation.
-Depending on the needs of the clinic, you can expect a shift to be between 7-10 hours during clinic operating hours.
-A typical work week will be two or three weekdays and every other weekend.
-This position also requires working on some major holidays.

L PN / LVN Responsibilities

As an LPN/LVN, you will be an essential member of the clinical team. Responsibilities include:

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based patient care in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment.
• Administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications as permitted by licensure and applicable protocols.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor overall health and well-being.
• Obtain and document vital signs, recognizing and reporting abnormal findings.
• Evaluate patient conditions, monitor pain levels, and document treatment responses.
• Perform  phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing .
• Conduct medication reviews and identify potential medication side effects or interactions for appropriate follow-up.
• Screen patients for depression and other mental health concerns using established assessment tools.
• Accurately document patient histories, medications, allergies, surgeries, family history, and treatment information in the  electronic medical record (EMR) .
• Educate patients regarding medications, self-care, disease management, and available healthcare resources.
• Help connect patients with appropriate community and healthcare resources.
• Collaborate effectively with providers, nurses, patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Advocate for patients while maintaining a professional, respectful, and welcoming experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and well-stocked clinical environment.
• Follow established clinical, safety, privacy, and infection-control procedures.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an LPN/LVN who combines strong clinical fundamentals with excellent communication and a genuine commitment to patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted LPN or LVN license in the applicable U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or District of Columbia.
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience in a relevant clinical setting.
• Previous experience in  Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings strongly preferred and required for this opportunity.
• Hands-on experience with:
• • Phlebotomy
  • Vaccine administration
  • Point-of-care testing
  • Patient assessments
  • Medication administration
• Proficiency with  electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) .
• Epic experience preferred.
• Verifiable high school diploma or GED.

Important: Candidates whose experience is exclusively or primarily in long-term care environments such as nursing homes, home health, LTAC, or skilled nursing facilities may not be well suited for this fast-paced outpatient clinical environment.

Education & Licensure

The successful candidate must possess a  full, active, and unrestricted LPN or LVN license in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.

A  verifiable high school diploma or GED is also required.
