Business Analyst II

Job Description Purpose Business Analyst with strong multi‑project management skills. The main focus of this role is on migration primarily cloud migration of data visualization. Be responsible for alignment with other teams to coordinate activity between teams and to follow the migration process through. Responsibilities Nice to have: Scaled Agile framework, budgeting experience (not complicated), Data Visualization and Data Analytics – these activities are not essential but would be a plus. Must be able to come onsite to ITRC a minimum of 2 days a week. Partner with business units to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements such as forms of data input, how data is to be processed, and how the results will be managed. Manage current “as‑is” process and work with the business to define the “to‑be” process. Partner with the global network to ensure synergies with existing systems and alignment with group strategy. Review and analyze system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if a requested program or program change is possible within the existing system – identify and differentiate system configuration from programming solutions. Prepare time and cost estimates for completing projects. Write detailed functional specifications for program development. Perform and document system configuration. Coordinate system interface design and development. Provide on‑call support as needed. Prepare/coordinate technical reports, process documentation, test plans, training needs assessment, and implementation plans. Support the Department Manager, Process IT with the management of specific elements of projects to schedule following systems development methodology; be accountable for efficient and maintainable results that meet business requirements. Research, coordinate feasibility studies, and make recommendations on process changes and automation to improve business processes and generate cost savings. Ensure target achievement is consistently attained. Create process change by integrating new processes with existing ones. Recommend and facilitate quality improvement efforts. Stay up to date on future innovations and technical trends and apply these to direct future changes. Serve as an IT project manager for medium to large sized projects, overseeing assigned resources, conducting status meetings, and effectively communicating project status to stakeholders as delegated by the Department Manager, Process IT. Develop project plans, administer the change control process, and ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget. Work closely with the business to understand requirements and determine the correct system design. Prepare business process mapping and function design. Identify gaps in the business process. Analyze business partner’s operations to understand strengths and weaknesses and determine opportunities to automate processes and functions. Recommend business process redesign and documentation as needed. Translate high‑level business requirements into functional specifications for IT development. Assist the Department Manager, Process IT with negotiating agreements and commitments by facilitating communication with the business and design. Serve as a liaison between the business and development to ensure the technical solution meets business needs as delegated by the Department Process IT. Perform other duties as assigned by the Group Operations Supervisor. Qualifications BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Science, Business or equivalent of 4 years experience in IT Application or Infrastructure Profession. 5+ years of project leadership of medium to large system responsibility in an IT environment. 5+ years of experience as Systems Analyst. 5+ years of experience working in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment. Physical Requirements Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
