Safety & Airworthiness Specialist – Level 4 Skill Code: 6P3 – Safety & Regulatory Work Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Pacific Time) Work Model: 100% Onsite Overtime: Possible, but not guaranteed Position Overview We are seeking a mid‑level to senior Safety & Airworthiness Specialist to join an In‑Service Safety & Compliance Investigations team based in Everett, Washington. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about aviation safety, regulatory compliance, and structured investigations . The selected candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and restoring compliance across the commercial aircraft lifecycle, directly contributing to product safety and regulatory excellence. As an investigator, you will independently lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations related to regulatory compliance issues, enabling leadership and engineering teams to identify systemic root causes and implement effective, sustainable corrective actions. Key Responsibilities Lead structured investigations related to: FAA Letters of Investigation Informal and Formal Compliance Actions Voluntary Disclosures and Self‑Audit findings Part 25 Airworthiness non‑compliances Guide cross‑functional engineering organizations (Systems, Structures, Payloads, Propulsion) through the complete investigation lifecycle using a structured problem‑solving methodology. Develop clear problem statements, perform comprehensive root cause analysis, and define: Containment actions Corrective actions to prevent recurrence Verification actions to ensure non‑recurrence Coordinate closely with: Engineering and functional teams Senior management and executive stakeholders Suppliers and external partners Collaborate with Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA) representatives to ensure investigation documentation meets regulatory expectations. Partner with enterprise stakeholders to continuously improve investigation processes, tools, and readiness for future program needs. Serve as a trusted advisor by communicating complex technical and regulatory issues to diverse technical and non‑technical audiences.
