Specialty Account Manager, Long Term Care (Des Moines, IA)

Axsome Therapeutics seeks a field-based Specialty Account Manager for long-term care in Des Moines, IA to drive product adoption and execute commercial strategies across assigned territory. The role requires managing relationships with LTC facilities, clinicians, and pharmacy partners while serving as a disease state expert.

Responsibilities

• Drive product adoption and market penetration across long-term care facilities in assigned territory
• Build and maintain relationships with psychiatrists, neurologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nursing staff, and care coordinators
• Engage with closed-door pharmacies and clinical pharmacists on product implementation
• Execute marketing strategies to support product launch and commercial objectives
• Assess local marketplace dynamics and identify key stakeholders and emerging trends

Requirements

• Proven experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales or long-term care account management
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
• Disease state knowledge and clinical product expertise
• Ability to conduct virtual and in-person customer interactions effectively
• Territory management and business development experience
• Knowledge of long-term care landscape and decision-making structures
