About the Role

The Company is seeking a Dean for its College of Letters and Sciences. The successful candidate will be the central administrator of the College, providing vision, academic leadership, and expert administration. This role involves fostering excellence in teaching, scholarly activity, and community engagement, as well as representing the College and the University to all constituents. The Dean will be responsible for strategic leadership, overseeing administrative functions, and partnering with enrollment management and student success leaders. Faculty and staff oversight is also a key aspect of the position, including recruitment, retention, and ensuring compliance with academic standards and regulations. Applicants for the Dean position must have a terminal degree in a relevant discipline, a minimum of 3-5 years' of experience in academic administration, and a strong record of teaching, service, and scholarly publications. The role requires knowledge of university mission, goals, and policies, as well as an understanding of accreditation requirements. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and possess effective communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Experience in fundraising and a commitment to the values of excellence, creativity, engagement, sustainability, and inclusion are essential. The Dean will also be expected to maintain visibility on campus, in the community, and with alumni and external partners.
