Job Summary: As a Medical Records Coordinator, you'll bring precision, patience, and consistency to every task. You'll manage, maintain, and organize participant medical records, ensuring all information is accurate, complete, and accessible for care teams. This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys structured, meaningful work. You'll be part of a supportive team in a calm, people-centered environment where accuracy, collaboration, and steady performance come first. Schedule: This remote position operates during standard business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Your specific work schedule will be established in partnership with your supervisor. Hourly Wage: $17.00 /hr. to start - $18.00 /hr. after 90 Days Schedule: First shift, full-time hours. - Maintain, organize, and update patient medical records.
- Ensure records are accurate, complete, and properly filed.
- Process requests for medical records from patients, providers, insurance companies, and other authorized parties.
- Verify compliance with privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
- Scan, index, and upload documents into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Create and revise authorizations
- Assist with audits and quality assurance reviews.
- Communicate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff regarding documentation requirements.
- Resolve discrepancies or missing information in patient files.
- Precise, organized, and focused on producing high-quality work.
- Patient, methodical, and comfortable with structured processes.
- Team-oriented and collaborative; values communication and shared success.
- Able to follow established routines while using good judgment in completing tasks.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain after hire - we'll provide the training!)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of administrative or medical records experience preferred
- Experience working with the frail or elderly population is a plus - we'll provide training as needed
- Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, TB Screening
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
- Able to lift, carry, or support light medical equipment and records
- Able to work with participants who may be ill, disabled, or emotionally upset
