Director, Risk Management

To learn more about our benefits, visit Realty is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer, including Minorities, Women, Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities.QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.Five or more years of experience in corporate risk management, insurance administration, or a related field.Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance programs and claims management.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesInsurance Program ManagementLead the procurement, negotiation, and administration of Healthcare Realty's property and casualty, captive, and management liability insurance programs.Monitor market trends and recommend strategies to optimize coverage, manage costs, and mitigate organizational risk.Claims OversightManage and oversee property and casualty claims, working closely with internal stakeholders, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.Ensure claims are handled efficiently and effectively while minimizing financial and operational impact.Contract and Lease ReviewReview leases, vendor agreements, and other contracts to evaluate insurance requirements, indemnification provisions, and risk transfer mechanisms.Interpret certificate of insurance requirements and ensure compliance with company standards.Regulatory ComplianceMaintain OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements.Support compliance initiatives related to risk management and workplace safety.Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, including Asset Management, Legal, and executive leadership, as well as brokers, underwriters, carriers, and third-party administrators.Serve as a trusted advisor on insurance-related matters across the organization.Strategic CommunicationProvide regular updates and insights to executive leadership regarding insurance market conditions, claims trends, risk exposures, and program performance.Develop clear, data-driven recommendations to support business decision-making.Risk Management LeadershipManage competing priorities and respond effectively to emerging risks and unexpected events.Continuously evaluate and enhance risk management practices to support Healthcare Realty's long-term business objectives.SummaryLocation: Nashville, TNType: Full time
