Job Description

As a Material Stock Handler, you will play a crucial role in managing the flow of materials within our dynamic facility. You will be responsible for unloading deliveries, verifying shipments, inspecting materials, and maintaining accurate records. Your work will ensure the smooth operation of our inventory system and contribute to the efficiency of our supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices.

• Inspect incoming materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies.

• Communicate any shortages, damages, or nonconformance to Quality and Purchasing.

• Enter receiving transactions into ERP actively.

• Ensure all materials are properly labeled and barcoded according to company standards.

• Support put-away of materials into correct storage locations.

• File and maintain accurate records of incoming shipments.

• Ensure receiving paperwork is complete, accurate, and properly routed.

• Communicate with Purchasing, Planning, and Logistics on delivery status or issues.

• Assist in daily cycle counts and reconciliation activities.

• Ensure all transactions match physical material flow.

• Support investigation and resolution of inventory discrepancies.

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures for material handling.

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of receiving dock and staging areas.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 1+ years of experience in warehouses, receiving, or material handling in a manufacturing environment.

• Forklift experience required.

• Familiarity with ERP/WMS systems preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.

• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Work Environment

You will work in a modern facility located in Mesa, Arizona, from Monday to Thursday, 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with current opportunities for overtime. The environment requires physical activity, including lifting up to 35 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods. You will use personal protection equipment and demonstrate good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination. Dress code aligns with safety standards, and you will have access to advanced equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ 85212.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
