Major Duties

• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and logistics metrics to identify adverse trends, recommending and coordinating corrective actions to ensure robust Defense Logistics Agency logistics support for Whole of Government (WoG) Partners.
• Analyze DLA and WoG Partner logistics plans to align capabilities with customer needs, preparing leadership for critical decisions on resource allocation and support priorities.
• Serve as the primary liaison for WoG Partners, managing regular progress updates, briefing on DLA capabilities, and fostering professional relationships to reconcile issues and ensure mutual understanding.
• Act as a customer advocate within DLA, performing in-depth analysis to resolve complex support issues and recommending policy or procedural changes to enhance DLA-wide effectiveness.
• Monitor WoG Partner readiness indicators and strategic needs, providing DLA leadership with detailed insights on performance metrics, contingency requirements, and budgetary trends.
• Plan and participate in meetings with OSD, DLA, and other federal agencies to exchange information, resolve conflicting views on major issues, and ensure unified logistics support efforts.
• Provide essential staff training and support while offering direct feedback on the evolving Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program to improve its effectiveness.

Qualification Summary

To qualify for a Logistics Management Specialist your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Drives logistics support by analyzing performance metrics to align organizational capabilities with partner requirements and inform resource allocation. Serves as the primary advocate and liaison for government partners, managing key relationships and resolving complex support challenges to ensure effective service delivery. Leads inter-agency collaboration to resolve major issues and recommend policy enhancements for enterprise-wide effectiveness. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
