Shop Hand- Sedro Wooley

The core mission of the Shop Hand is to support the fabrication, painting, and assembly of steel building structures in an industrial manufacturing atmosphere. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to learn a range of tasks necessary for each project scope, including material handling, fabrication work, assembly work, painting, and cleaning.

Responsibilities

· Participate in the Quality Assurance Program.

· Use hand and power tools to clean and prep steel.

· Handle materials efficiently and safely.

· Read and understand work orders and project task codes.

· Mix and prepare paint coatings following proper procedures.

· Apply paints and coatings according to procedures and manufacturer’s instructions.

· Accurately record quality data on cleaning and coating reports.

· Clean and maintain the factory work areas and bathrooms.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Follow all workplace safety rules and operate tools and equipment safely.

Essential Skills

· High school diploma, general education degree, or vocational degree.

· 2+ years of experience with general trade skills for siding, roofing, metalworking, or assembly.

· Ability to select and operate the proper tools for tasks.

· Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16th inch.

Pay $22- $28 Doe

Day, Swing and Weekend shifts available!

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sedro-Woolley, WA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Sedro-Woolley,WA.
