Requirements

The Dishwasher plays a vital role in keeping the restaurant running smoothly. This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, cookware, and kitchen equipment while supporting the team with a safe and organized back-of-house environment.

What You'll Do:

Keep the Kitchen Clean & Organized

• Sort, rinse, wash, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Properly stack and store clean items in designated areas.
• Rewash and inspect items to ensure cleanliness standards are met before use.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down the dishwashing area.

Maintain Sanitation & Safety Standards

• Ensure all dishwashing equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Monitor dish machine wash and rinse temperatures and notify management of any issues.
• Change dish machine water as required and maintain cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and accident-free restaurant environment.

Support Restaurant Operations

• Remove trash and recyclables and transport them to designated disposal areas.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to maintain a clean workspace.
• Clean mats, sinks, and work areas throughout each shift.
• Assist with general cleaning tasks both inside and around the restaurant property.

Be a Reliable Team Member

• Work closely with kitchen and restaurant team members to support smooth daily operations.
• Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to contribute to the team's success.
• Remain open to coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement.
• Follow all Tacos & Tequila Cantina policies, procedures, and daily expectations.
