Cisco Network Engineer

Network Migration Support TechnicianThe role will require: Installation, configuration, and onboarding of VERSA devices, Aruba wireless APs, and network switches Execution of end-to-end site migrations to DoDNet, including cutover support Troubleshooting and remediation activities in coordination with the Thunderdome, Network Operations, and Migration teams Hands-on support during pre-migration, migration, and post-migration validation activitiesThis role requires personnel with hands-on experience installing network hardware and performing network migration, configuration, and onboarding activities. Candidates must be comfortable working with Aruba wireless access points, Cisco switches, and Versa networking devices in an enterprise environment. In addition to standard installer skillsets, candidates should possess the following:Cable installation and termination (fiber and copper)Rack and stack of network equipmentBasic to intermediate troubleshooting and testing of network connectionsAbility to read and follow network diagrams, installation plans, and migration runbooksFamiliarity with structured cabling standards and labeling practicesExperience supporting live production environments during migration activitiesAdditional Required Technical Skillsets:Cisco switch configuration and troubleshooting, including:VLAN creation and managementTrunking (802.1Q)802.1X (DOT1x) authenticationAAA configuration (RADIUS / TACACS+)
