This position is on-site.We are seeking a Parts Counter Associate to join our dynamic team in Columbia, MD. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting field technicians and customers by efficiently managing HVAC/R parts, materials, and inventory. This role serves as a key operational link between service teams, vendors, and customers, ensuring timely access to the correct parts to keep service jobs running smoothly. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining our high standards of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, stock, and distribute HVAC/R parts, equipment, and suppliesAssist technicians with identifying, locating, and issuing required partsMaintain accurate inventory records using internal systems and spreadsheetsProcess purchase orders, returns, and warranty partsCoordinate with vendors and suppliers to track orders and delivery timelinesEnsure workspace and storage areas are organized and compliant with safety standardsCommunicate proactively with dispatch, service managers, and technicians regarding part availabilitySupport periodic inventory counts and auditsQualifications & SkillsStrong attention to detail and organizationExperience with inventory management or parts distribution (HVAC/R preferred)Comfortable using computer systems, spreadsheets, and emailExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced service environmentReliable, punctual, and team-orientedWork EnvironmentWarehouse and service counter settingFrequent interaction with technicians, vendors, and internal staffMay involve lifting and moving parts and equipmentNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
