CT Technologist

Overview Under the general guidance of the radiologists and Radiology Director, provides quality diagnostic imaging services with a patient-focused approach. Demonstrates knowledge in the current concepts of the field, performing at a level of competence that allows independent thought and action. Applies critical thinking to managing patients, assuring appropriate care based on patient needs using age-specific assessment, communications, and knowledge of physical and mental capabilities. Responsibilities Provide diagnostic imaging services with quality and accuracy; operate applicable imaging equipment; ensure patient safety and comfort; communicate findings and coordinate care with radiology team as appropriate. Qualifications Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R). Must maintain Maryland State Certification to practice Radiologic Technology in the state of Maryland. BLS Required Additional Information Type of equipment: MRM Radiology Computer Terminals, Hewlett Packard Laser Printers, GE PRO 16 slice CT Scanner, (2) GE VCT 64 slice CT Scanner, and GE CTI CT Scanner, McKesson PACS Hardware, and GE Independent Workstation.
