As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in evaluating patient outcomes and implementing effective respiratory care plans. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible care for patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating patient outcomes and making necessary changes in the plan of care
- Providing clear instructions to patients and responsible persons regarding respiratory disease processes and interventions
- Accepting reassignment to other units when necessary
- Sharing clinical knowledge with staff and students as a role model for clinical practice
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating the effectiveness of respiratory care
- Providing respiratory care as ordered by physicians, maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy
- RRT Illinois License
- BLS and NRP-MHC certifications
- Need 1 year experience in setting
