Job Post Summary

Senior-level Civil Engineer responsible for managing and delivering site civil development projects for commercial, industrial, retail, office, and mixed-use developments. The role involves leading project teams, coordinating with clients, providing technical oversight, and ensuring high-quality design and execution of civil engineering plans including site layout, drainage, grading, and utilities. Strong emphasis on leadership, mentoring, and end-to-end project delivery in a collaborative environment.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site civil engineering projects from concept through construction documentation

• Coordinate directly with clients and stakeholders for project requirements and delivery

• Oversee preparation of design calculations, engineering drawings, details, and specifications

• Review and modify plans to ensure compliance with standards and client expectations

• Provide technical guidance and quality control for civil/site development designs

• Manage workflow, project scheduling, and team coordination

• Mentor junior engineers and support team development

• Collaborate with internal teams on design solutions for commercial developments

• Ensure project delivery aligns with budget, timeline, and regulatory requirements

• Participate in site civil design including grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout

Qualifications and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio (mandatory)

• 10+ years of civil engineering experience

• Strong site civil development / land development experience

• Experience in commercial, industrial, retail, or mixed-use projects

• Proven experience in project management or technical lead role

• Proficiency in civil engineering design standards and workflows
