Job Summary

• Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvements for CCA and cable assembly builds.
• Responsible for analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
• Experience with MK48 programs is a plus.
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and other cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize CCA and module manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Identify and implement process improvements in the MK48 assembly area using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, training materials, and design specifications for fixtures and stencils.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless implementation of process changes.
• Develop and maintain detailed manufacturing and process documentation.
• Conduct experiments and trials to validate process improvements and ensure compatibility with existing equipment and systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to production staff.
• Train and mentor production personnel as needed.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness and identify areas for further improvement.
• Support equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly manufacturing processes, including equipment, materials, and quality control methods.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to walk up and down stairs and stand for extended periods to access and troubleshoot equipment on the production floor.
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and stretch to perform equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.

Desired Skills

• Electronics or manufacturing assembly experience.
• Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or a related field.
• Experience with the MK48 program.
• Experience with data analytics and statistical process control.
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards, including IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and MIL-STD-130.
• Experience with automation, robotics, and AI.
• Proficiency in CAD design tools such as Creo or SolidWorks.
