As a Staff Nurse within the Surgical Ward, you will be responsible for assessing patient care needs, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care whilst ensuring the highest standards of patient-centred nursing. Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, you will support patients throughout their surgical journey from admission through to discharge. The role involves monitoring patient condition, managing post-operative care, administering medications, maintaining accurate clinical documentation and escalating concerns where appropriate. Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills. Competency in key clinical skills including venepuncture and cannulation, NG tube insertion and care, female urinary catheter insertion and care, and stoma care. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centred care. Why HCA UK?
