Legal Director

Active South Carolina Law License Required We're hiring an experienced Senior Legal Director / Corporate Counsel to join a growing clean energy manufacturing company in Fort Mill, SC . This is a high-impact leadership role supporting executive leadership across employment law, commercial contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and strategic business initiatives. To be considered, applicants must currently hold an active license to practice law in South Carolina. This is a non-negotiable requirement. What You'll Do Serve as the company's primary legal advisor across multiple business functions Provide guidance on employment law, labor relations, workplace investigations, and HR compliance Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, vendor agreements, customer agreements, and partnership contracts Advise leadership on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and legal risk Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions Manage outside counsel, litigation, and legal budgets Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to support business growth Qualifications Active South Carolina law license (Required) Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school 10+ years of legal experience, including corporate and/or in-house counsel experience Strong experience in employment law, commercial contracts, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills Manufacturing or other highly regulated industry experience is preferred Experience supporting U.S. and Canadian operations is a plus $180,000-$220,000 annual salary 401(k) Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays Health Savings Account (HSA) Tuition Reimbursement Employee Assistance Program Please Note: We are specifically seeking candidates who are currently licensed to practice law in South Carolina.
