The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements. Responsibilities Provide basic bedside care. Clean and bandage wounds. Provide IV therapy. Maintain supplies and medical equipment. Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies. Evaluate, triage and implement patient care under physician instructions. Perform minor medical operations, advise patients and families, and plan long-term care needs. Document medical history, check for allergies, obtain vital signs, and monitor patients' emotional and physical well-being. ER Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Because of the fast-paced environment, Emergency Room RNs must possess good skills for coping with stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds. Qualifications 1-2 years of recent acute care experience. Certification: ACLS, BLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC, and at least 2 years of experience. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods; lift up to 50 pounds; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
