Exciting Night Shift Cardiac Progressive Care Nurse Opportunity!

Job Description:


- Join an amazing team specializing in cardiac care!
- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac PCU experience
- Charge RN experience preferred
- Patient Ratios:
- 1:5 ratios with drips/BiPAP
- 1:4 ratios as needed
- Weekend Rotation: Yes
- Holidays: As needed
- Staffing:
- 24/7 Nurse Assistants
- RN Secretary from 7a-11p
- Skills Needed:
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Telemetry monitoring
- Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization care
- Peripheral Line care and management
- PICC line management
- Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
- Procedural sedation administration
- Chest tube management
- Tracheostomy management
- Patient Focus:
- Cardiac patients (CHF, ACS, arrhythmias, etc.)
- Secondary focus on respiratory issues (COPD, pneumonia, BiPAP)
- Unit Details:
- 30 private bed Cardiac Medical Progressive Care department
- Rooms monitored by a centralized cardiac monitoring department
- Supportive interdisciplinary team
- Compliance and Requirements:
- BLS, ACLS certification required; NIH preferred
- EMR experience with EPIC
- Active nursing license required at submission
- EKG exam required for all RNs
- No open cases for background check
- Local candidates must be beyond a 50-mile radius
