Job Description

Job Summary:

Seek a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with pediatric cardiac surgery experience to support a prominent hospital specializing in pediatric cardiac procedures. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, performing surgical technology duties, and providing support for complex cardiac surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments tailored for pediatric cardiac procedures.
• Assist surgical teams during pediatric cardiac surgeries, ensuring adherence to sterile protocols.
• Manage and operate specialized equipment such as cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO cannulation devices.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and other charting systems.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate schedules, including call shifts and potential float requirements.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, including vaccination, licensing, and background check requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid CST certification.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent experience in cardiac or pediatric cardiac surgery.
• Demonstrate proficiency with cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO cannulation.
• Have current state licensure (single or multi-state license; Ohio license required or in process).
• Exhibit strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment.
• Complete all vaccination and background screening requirements prior to start.
