License Site Professional and Senior Project ManagerSovereign Consulting Inc., a national environmental consulting and remediation firm headquartered in Robbinsville, NJ, is seeking a License Site Professional (LSP) / Senior Project Manager, with a minimum of 10 years of experience to work in either our Holyoke or Foxborough, MA offices.The ideal candidate for the position is a responsible, self-motivated individual who is eager to take advantage of an excellent opportunity to work in a flexible work environment with one of the most highly regarded firms in the environmental consulting and site assessment / remediation business. Experience at retail petroleum sites and with the Massachusetts 21J reimbursement program is a plus, although not required.Responsibilities:Manage environmental projects, site assessments, characterizations, and complex remediation projects from initial investigation to regulatory closureEnsure all site work satisfies Massachusetts General Law c. 21E and the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP)Design and implement strategies for soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion mitigation, including risk characterizations and monitoringInterpret and analyze site characterization data and informationPrepare site characterization reports, investigative and remedial action plans/reports, closure plans, MCP prescribed reports, and other technical reports, as neededAct as the LSP-of-record to prepare, sign, and submit Waste Site Cleanup Activity Opinions and reports to MassDEPDevelop site specific budgets, schedules, and work scopes and communicate risk and project status effectively with clients, legal teams, the public, and regulatory agenciesMarket and represent Sovereign Consulting at LSPA, SAME, EBC, etc. meetings as applicableSupervise, mentor, and guide junior technical staffRequirements:Active Massachusetts LSP license in good standing and issued by the state Board of Registration of Hazardous Waste Site Cleanup Professionals (LSP Board)Attend training and professional development programs to maintain the LSP license under evolving state environmental standards10+ years of environmental consulting experience, featuring hands-on involvement with the MCP and MassDEP Regulations, site investigation, and remediation technologiesA Bachelors degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Geology, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or a related technical fieldOSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification and current 8-hour refresher preferredExcellent communication, analytical, and field sampling skillsDemonstrated technical writing skillsMust have a good driving record and be able to drive a company vehicleEmployment at Sovereign is contingent upon the results of a Drug & Alcohol screening test and a pre-placement medical evaluation that determines candidate's ability to capably and safely perform the proposed job duties.
