Licensed Clinician

Our mission is to provide quality community‑based services for children and families affected by significant life changes, general mental health and/or developmental delays. In working with children and families, Unlocked Potential's staff utilize an individualized, strengths‑based, and holistically informed approach. Job Description We are looking for Licensed Clinicians that hold an LCSW, LPC or LMFT (bilingual is a plus)! Our Clinicians offer “in home” counseling and therapeutic services to help support I/DD youths between the ages of 5 and 21. Common impacts may be due to a variety of reasons such as major life stress, trauma, or lifelong intellectual and developmental delays. Locations: Middlesex County, NJ Passaic County, NJ Monmouth County, NJ Essex County, NJ Somerset County, NJ Union County, NJ Unlocked Potential provides clinical support for a range of needs, including emotional and coping strategies, as well as psychoeducation for families around developmental diagnoses and behavioral modification. As a scheduling consideration, families typically require youth services in the after‑school hours (3pm‑8pm) and on weekends. Job Specifications and Requirements: Punctually and consistently meet with each assigned child and family each week for the authorized number of hours (typically 2-4 hours per youth) to implement treatment plans which foster adaptive and social skills for the youth while educating and supporting the family around the youth’s needs. Keep and maintain accurate billing and treatment records. Work cooperatively with other identified team members to develop and implement a service plan on the youth’s behalf. Clinical Interventions should include, but are not limited to: Individual and family counseling Instruction in learning adaptive frustration tolerance and expression, including anger management Instruction in stress reduction techniques Psycho‑educational services to improve decision making skills to manage behavior and reduce risk behaviors Positive Behavioral Supports Trauma informed counseling Providing coordinated support with agency staff and participating as part of the clinical team Recommendations for referrals as needed related to presenting need. Qualifications Additional Qualifications: Must be willing to go into the home of the families served for the authorized number of hours per week based on each referral. Must possess a valid Licensed Clinician (LCSW, LPC or LMFT). Must possess a driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (vehicle must be documented by the agency to be insured and registered). Must consent to and pass a criminal background check. Must have basic computer and cell phone knowledge and be able to comply with all HIPAA (confidentiality) laws as it relates to Protected Health Information. Must be able to continuously complete role functions requiring sufficient physical ability, mobility, vision, hearing, and communication when providing direct services to youth and families in the home, community, and/or via telehealth. Must be reliable, punctual, organized, and a self‑starter. Must be creative, enthusiastic, and a team player! Bilingual or sign language a plus.
