CNC Mill/Lathe Operator

Position Summary

We are seeking a CNC Mill/Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC milling and turning machines to produce high-quality precision components while maintaining production and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes according to work instructions and blueprints
• Load raw materials and monitor machine operations throughout production runs
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment
• Make basic tool offsets and minor program adjustments as needed
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean and organized
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings
• Document production data and quality inspection results
• Troubleshoot machining issues and communicate concerns to supervisors
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Previous CNC machining experience preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using precision measuring instruments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with both CNC milling and turning operations
• Knowledge of G-code and CNC controls
• Experience performing machine setups and tool changes
• Manufacturing or machine shop experience in a production environment
