About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Ads Quality Engineering. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the company's mission to enhance contextual and interest-based advertising. This leadership role involves driving the long-term engineering vision and strategy for ad retrieval, ranking, and marketplace efforts, with a focus on increasing the value of advertising for both advertisers and users. The VP will be responsible for leading mission-critical machine learning teams, ensuring the relevance and timeliness of ads shown to users, and protecting user privacy. A key aspect of the role is to foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning. Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years' experience in leading machine learning engineering organizations, preferably in the ads domain, and possess strong technical expertise in machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and recommender systems. The role requires a deep understanding of ads delivery and marketplace design, as well as proficiency in programming languages and frameworks commonly used in machine learning. The VP will be expected to have a proven track record in driving and executing complex machine learning projects, excellent leadership and people management skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively. The position is pivotal in the company's goal to become a leader in the advertising space, and the ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a commitment to the needs of both advertisers and users.
